Introducing Elijah T. Grasshopper & Friends, children’s enrichment performers. Elijah and his friends were created to add a sense of real-time wonderment to children’s lives through music and interactive storytelling. Channeling his favorite childhood characters, Doctor Dolittle and Willy Wonka, Rob Zammarchi personifies Elijah with the sole purpose of keeping innocence alive and letting wonder abound in all the kids he plays for. Through personal appearances, Elijah T. Grasshopper & Friends seek to spark children’s imaginations and inspire them to make their dreams come true. About the Music
Interactive story songs are Elijah’s specialty with a gentle humorous appeal. From the wake up song, “Tick Tock, Alarm Clock” to a hide n’ seek adventure with “Willa the Worm”, children love to participate. A master at making kids hop, wiggle and giggle, Elijah is joined by Emma the “Go Go Green” Bean, The Orange Farmer and their puppet pals, Willa the Worm and Weatherbee Frog. Elijah and his friends teach kids funky dance moves like the Bumpity Bump and the Pumpkin Dance, all the while promoting a message of social harmony.
“Rob has performed at Happy Hours Day School in Millis on a number of occasions. One such was our “End of the Year” gathering with more than 50 children in the audience. The performance exceeded our expectations. Rob brings creativity, enthusiasm and lots of positive of energy to every concert! I would highly recommend Rob and his talent. You will not be disappointed.”
~ Marilyn Barber, Director, Happy Hours Day School, Millis, MA

“Last spring our program hired Rob for a family concert in the park. Many families came with picnic food and blankets and settled in for an evening of fun entertainment. There were many opportunities for children to act out the musical stories. He offers a unique blend of programming which promotes literacy, supports cognitive and brain development and is just plain fun! Folks of all ages said it was one of the best programs we have provided. We would definitely do a repeat of this event anytime.”
~ Pat Hammond, Family Support Specialist, Clinton Early Childhood Research Center, Clinton, MA
About the Book Reviews
Rob is also an illustrator and a member of the Writers Loft in Sherborn, MA. One of the projects spawned from this experience is our “Book Reviews” section, where Elijah reviews picture books that inspire him. Read the unique essays about the books that he and Mrs. Grasshopper discover as they raise their own little hoppers on the Dale. Elijah & his Friends write original songs based on some of these books, which accompany their respective reviews. You can view Rob’s children’s illustration portfolio at http://www.robzammarchi.com
